Integrated postgraduate progams
Joint Masters degrees will be developed in targeted areas within marine science, e.g. Physical Oceanography, Biogeochemistry, Benthic Ecology, Marine Resource Management and Fisheries Science. The multi‐disciplinary aspects of marine science will be fully embedded in the courses. The one year Masters courses will follow the UK model of six months of formal coursework with a six month research project. The research project can be undertaken at any of the three partner institutions. Indeed some projects may span research sites at several of the institutions through joint supervision. Selected students will receive support to cover travel and subsistence for 24 weeks.
